The deputy president of the PSD’s national political committee, Margarida Balseiro Lopes, said the interview the prime minister gave to SIC this Thursday “brought no news or hope”.
“In this government, everything is being heated up again: measures, PowerPoints, ideas and propaganda. The prime minister spoke as if he had reigned for a year, but he is now in his eighth year,” he stressed.
Balseiro Lopes says the “government is unable to help people in need” and recalled the problems of various sectors: “in education, another lost school year; in health care, a million people without a doctor; in transport, strikes leaving thousands of people without knowing how to go to work and return home; and three out of four Portuguese are struggling to pay essential expenses.”
The Social Democratic leader accused the government of “showing great lightness with a problem”, that of housing, “which is not new”.
