In front of the Hôtel de Matignon, where she was received by Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne, Marine Le Pen did not mince words. Faced with the rise in energy prices, she criticized an executive who, according to her, does not have “the slightest strategy to contain these costs.”
“We really are in a situation in which the government no longer controls anything,” lashed out the leader of the National Association (RN) in the National Assembly.
“If not to write checks, that is to say actually to create additional debt that will be our children’s tax,” added the finalist of the last two presidential elections. Marine Le Pen denounced the “strategy of sobriety”, while the government asks the French to save energy.
“Sobriety is not a strategy, it is a restriction,” according to the deputy for Pas-de-Calais.
motion of censure
“As if, in addition, the energy expenditure of the French were a whim. As if people no longer pay attention to the way they spend energy”, declares Marine Le Pen.
Another topic discussed: the pension reform that the executive could approve by amending the Social Security Financing Bill (PLFSS). Marine Le Pen issued a warning to the government: under these conditions, her group would present “a motion of censure” and would vote “motions of censure whatever their origin.”
