Together with his wife, Fernanda Tadeu, the Prime Minister attended the second of four Colplay concerts in Portugal on Thursday. At the same time, the hearing of the Minister of Infrastructure, João Galamba, in the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into TAP took place in the Assembly of the Republic, which ended after 01:00.
In one of the stands of Estádio Cidade de Coimbra, António Costa and his wife were seen singing with the singer of the British band, Chris Martin, and the thousands who attended the “Balada da Despedida” concert, as shown in the video broadcast by CNN Portugal.
According to the news channel, the Prime Minister did not have the usual meeting with the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, as usual on Thursday, as it has been postponed to today.
“Apparently, while Rome was on fire, Nero sang and played the harp,” reads one of the comments on social networks, where images of Costa during the Coldplay concert were shared.
“If it was Pink Floyd, James or Ornatos Violeta it would be forgivable” or “it just shows the contempt he has for the country” were other reactions to Costa’s presence at Estádio Cidade Coimbra.
António Costa was at the Cold Play concert today and was filmed singing “Coimbra te mais charme”. While Rome burned, Nero apparently sang and played the harp. pic.twitter.com/qOW0wi5ZdD

This country lives in a:
Yesterday Sporting players should not have gone to Coldplay
António Costa should not have gone to Coldplay today
It’s tomorrow?– Gonçalo Santos (@NunoElfuser) May 18, 2023
Costa is very friends with Galamba, but while Galamba is at the CPI, Costa is on his way to Coldplay.
