Former deputy in the Assembly of the Republic and former councilor in the Municipal Council of Matosinhos Pedro da Vinha Costa, elected by the PSD, died on Thursday, aged 63, the PSD / Matosinhos announced this Friday on its official Facebook page.
“It is with great regret that we announce the death of fellow doctor Pedro da Vinha Costa, who was PSD elected alderman and councilor in Matosinhos City Council,” the party said in the publication.
Speaking of “deep sorrow”, the PSD/Matosinhos expressed its condolences to the family and friends of Pedro da Vinha Costa.
Pedro José da Vinha Rodrigues Costa was born on October 15, 1960 in the parish of Sé Nova, in Coimbra, but lived in Matosinhos.
The social democrat, who graduated in law from the Catholic University of Porto, had two children.
The Matosinhos City Council, led by the socialist Luísa Salgueiro, also expressed its regret on its official website for the death of the former PSD councilor who took over this position between October 2013 and 2017.
In the information published, the municipality recalled that in the term that began on October 21, 2017, Pedro da Vinha Costa was a member of the Matosinhos Municipal Council, elected by the PPD-PSD, who headed the Social Democratic bank.
President of the PSD/Matosinhos council, Pedro da Vinha Costa, was the candidate for the leadership of the chamber in the 2013 municipal elections, chaired at that time by Guilherme Pinto, elected by the PS.
Pedro da Vinha Costa was also a deputy in the Assembly of the Republic between October 1995 and April 2002.
“The Matosinhos City Council deeply regrets the passing of Pedro da Vinha Costa and extends its deepest condolences to the family,” he stressed.
