The Portuguese pilot Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) says he is “ready for the challenge” in the MotoGP Dutch Grand Prix, the eighth race of the season, which this weekend takes place in Assen, a circuit considered the cathedral of motorcycling.
“It was a good stimulus for me and for the team to finish the German GP [do passado fim de semana] top ten [foi 10.º] and be the best Aprilia”, underlined Miguel Oliveira, in statements released by the RNF team.
The Portuguese driver, born in Almada, assures that he wants to “take advantage of these days to rest and recover” from the fracture in his left shoulder suffered on April 30, at the Spanish GP.
“But enough [a prova de] Assen. I think we are ready for the challenge and to improve a little more”, said Miguel Oliveira.
The Portuguese driver recalls that this “usually is one of the most physically demanding circuits”, but he assures that he will be “prepared”.
The Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), title champion, leads the championship, with 160 points.
Miguel Oliveira, who has already missed the tests in Argentina and France, due to injury, is 16th, with 27.
