Artur Soares Dias, from the Porto association, was the best classified of the 2022/23 season, succeeding João Pinheiro, second classified this Wednesday by the Arbitration Council (CA) of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).
Present in 26 official matches, including 20 in the I Liga, three in the II Liga, two in the Portuguese Cup and one in the second division access play-off, the 43-year-old ‘judge’ finished the season with a final rating of 9,375, assigned by the AC ratings section of the FPF.
The referee since 2004 and international since 2010 leads the main category of male referees (C1), in which João Pinheiro, ranked first in the last two seasons, was second, with 9,353, and Manuel Oliveira third, with 9,329.
In the women’s draw, Sara Alves (7,787) succeeds Sandra Bastos as the best referee in this category, ahead of Teresa Oliveira (7,769) and Sílvia Domingos (7,765).
The CA also revealed that the referee Iancu Vasilica (8,442), from the Vila Real association, was the first classified in the second professional category and must be promoted to the main category, like Bruno Vieira (8,343), from the association of Beja. , second classified, and José Bessa (8,336), from the Porto association, third.
The referee Luciano Maia was first in the main category of male assistant referees, repeating last season’s classification.
As in last season, the C1 refereeing team once again increases one place, from the current 21 to the 22 of 2023/24, and in July the referees relegated to the second category will be announced.
