Spain thrashed Vietnam 9-0 in preparation for the Women’s World Cup

Vietnam, Portugal’s opponent in Group E of the Women’s World Cup, was defeated this Friday 9-0 by Spain, in a preparation match, played in Auckland, New Zealand.

In a game played behind closed doors, at McLennan Park Stadium, the Spanish team did not give the Asian team a chance, but at half-time they only won 2-0, with goals from Alba Redondo and Athenea del Castillo.

Jorge Vilda’s men were much stronger in the second half, in which they scored seven more goals, with a ‘double’ from Jenni Hermoso, Salma Paralluelo and Esther González and even a goal from Aitana Bonmatí.
