Gonçalo Ramos’ successor is official. Benfica announced this Thursday the signing of Brazilian striker Arthur Cabral, who has signed a five-year contract.
The Eagles revealed to the CMVM that they paid 20 million euros to Fiorentina for “acquiring all player rights”, an amount to which is added an amount of 5 million euros “paid according to pre-defined objectives”.

SAD incarnate also adds that the 25-year-old attacker was protected with a termination clause of 100 million euros.
It is Benfica’s fifth signing for the new season, following Turkish midfielder Orkün Kokçü (ex-Feyenoord), Argentinian Ángel Di María (ex-Juventus), Czech defender David Jurásek (ex-Slavia de Praga) and guard – Nets Anatoliy. Trubin, also announced this Thursday as a new player for the Reds.
Arthur Cabral began his career in Ceará, where he also played for Palmeiras, still in Brazil, before representing Basel and Fiorentina in European football.
