Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) says he is “motivated” for the Indonesian MotoGP Grand Prix, the 15th race of the season, after winning there in 2022.
“The Indonesian GP brings me good memories. I won last year and that gives me the motivation to take on the race this year,” said the driver from Almada, quoted by the RNF team’s press service.
The Portuguese driver reaches this 15th round after an 18th place in the Japanese GP, marked by rain, which forced the race to be interrupted.
“We face the first of three consecutive competitions and it is important to return to our usual form, especially in qualifying,” Oliveira emphasizes.
The 28-year-old driver says he is “confident” and eager to perform well again.
Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) comes into this race at the top of the World Cup standings, with 319 points, but only three points ahead of Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati), who is second.
Italian Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati), who is third with 54 points less, is still in doubt after breaking a collarbone during training at Valentino Rossi’s farm on Saturday. Miguel Oliveira is 13th with 69 points.
