Miguel Oliveira abandons the Malaysian GP after a fall

The Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) abandoned the Malaysian MotoGP Grand Prix this Sunday, the 18th round of the season, after suffering a fall in the seventh of the 20 laps of the main race.

Oliveira, who started from 19th position, crashed at turn nine of the Malaysian Sepang circuit when he was running in 20th position.

The Portuguese driver still tried to return to the race, but without success.

This was the Almada-born rider’s fifth fall in the Speed Motorcycle World Championship this season.

Oliveira had fallen in Portugal, Spain, Italy and in the Austrian GP sprint race.

To these abandonments, the 28-year-old rider also adds withdrawals in the Netherlands, Austria (main race), Japan and Thailand due to technical problems on the 2022 Aprilia of the RNF team.
