The fan who stormed the Estádio da Luz field during Sunday’s derby will not be allowed to enter the sports venues, the Authority for the Prevention and Combating of Violence in Sport (APCVD) reported on Tuesday. This concerns a 31-year-old man, living in Cascais, who was identified by the Lisbon Metropolitan Sports Information Unit (UMID/Spotters) of the Public Security Police.
The incident took place at the end of the 11th round of the I League (2-1). A fan, identified with Clube da Luz symbols, entered the field and made obscene gestures at the Sporting players. Adán lost his head and tried to approach the fan, but was stopped by the Argentinian Di Maria to prevent the Spanish goalkeeper Adán from approaching the fan.
As a precaution, the fan “will be denied access to sports venues until the end of the administrative violation procedure,” the APCVD statement said. And if you don’t comply, you can be arrested by the police.
The fan risks a fine of between 1,000 and 10,000 euros and an additional sanction of up to three years for denial of access to sports venues.
It was also necessary to initiate an administrative violation procedure to determine the facts and responsibilities in incidents against a Sporting fan, who was forcibly removed from the club’s scarf.
