During the meeting of the members of the Supreme Council of FC Porto, held on Thursday at the Estádio do Dragão, the motion to withdraw the proposal to amend the club’s statutes and therefore the Extraordinary General Meeting (AG) would not should take longer.
The legal review led to the appointment of the AG of the Dragons last Monday. The main meeting was eventually suspended due to attacks between members of FC Porto and was rescheduled for next Monday.
The Supreme Court announced this in a statement after “carefully analyzing the regrettable and reprehensible events”, it decided “unanimously, in the best interests of the club, to withdraw the proposed amendment to the articles of association, thus contributing to the alleviation of the divisions existing within the family Porto is created”.

A day after the episodes of aggression between members during FC Porto’s AG, the Office of the Attorney General of Porto reported that the Public Prosecution Service had opened an investigation into the incidents.
“Taking into account the events that took place at FC Porto AG, which started on November 13, were widely publicized in the media and were likely to form part of criminal offenses of a public nature, the opening of an investigation was decided. out in DIAP [Departamento de Investigação e Ação Penal] of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Porto,” said the highest body of parliament, which covers the Porto district.
