This Thursday, Benfica guaranteed qualification for the semi-finals of the Futsal Champions League, for the third consecutive year, after Prishtina’s draw against Dobovec, in the second round of Group B of the Elite Round.
The reds, who beat Kairat 3-2 this Thursday, lead the group, with six points, three more than the Kazakhs, over whom they have an advantage in the direct confrontation, and five more than Dobovec and Prishtina, who were defeated in the first round and today they tied 3-3.
With only one duel left to play, against the Kosovars, on Saturday, in Pristina, Benfica has already secured first place in the group and, therefore, a presence in the final phase of the Champions League.
The Eagles, European champions in 2010 and runners-up in 2004, thus guarantee their fifth appearance in the final four of the Futsal Champions League and their third in a row.
Only the first classified from each of the four groups advances to the final four, and Sporting also fights for this objective by hosting Group C of this Elite Round.
