To give strength to the team and try to attract the fans, there are several establishments in Portugal that create campaigns or make offers for each goal that the corner team manages to score. From offering fuel for salamanders or fireplaces to free drinks, support comes in many forms.
A company from Viana do Castelo, Viana Pellets, offers bags of pellets in a number equivalent to the number of goals scored by the Portugal team. This granulate, made from wood scraps, is used as fuel for fireplaces or salamanders, for example. Owner Rui Gonçalves told the TSF whose offer is valid for all the matches that Portugal will play in the World Cup.
Going a little further into the country, in Aveiro, Café Novo promises to offer customers who visit the establishment during matches a drink for every goal scored by the team. The owner, Hélder Miranda, says that the consumer can choose the offer.
In Porto, the Presto Pizza restaurant created a special menu for the days when Portugal participates during the World Cup in Qatar. If there are goals from the corner team, the venue offers one round for each goal scored by Portugal.
In the capital, Coxinharia has a similar offer. With a special menu to celebrate the World Cup season, rounds of beer are added at the Lisbon home every time the Portugal team scores a goal.
