Switzerland debuted this Thursday with a victory in the 2022 World Cup, beating Cameroon 1-0, on the first day of Group G, played at the Al Janoub Stadium, in Al Wakrah.
Forward Breel Embolo, born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, scored the game-winning goal for the Swiss in the 48th minute after assisting Xherdan Shaqiri.
The first round of the group is completed this Thursday, with the clash between the five-time champion Brazil, winner in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002, and Serbia, Portugal’s ‘executioner’ in the qualifying phase, starting at 7:00 p.m. . (in Lisbon).
