The new coach of the national team will be presented, this Monday, at 12:00, by the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, Fernando Gomes, at the Cidade do Futebol.
The Spanish radio Cadena SER in the Carrusel Deportivo program announced that Roberto Martínez should succeed Fernando Santos.
Cadena SER also revealed that the Spanish coach had a proposal from Everton, England, but he preferred the challenge launched by the management of Fernando Gomes to train the team.
Roberto Martínez is 49 years old and left the helm of the Belgian team after the World Cup in Qatar, where the Belgians were eliminated in the group stage.
The Spaniard coached the Belgians for six and a half years. The best result achieved was third place in the 2018 World Cup.
