This Monday, Portugal beat Hungary, 27-20, in the third day of Group D of the preliminary round of the Handball World Cup, and secured first place in the pool, which was played in Kristianstad, Sweden.
The Portuguese team, which came to halftime winning 16-9, got its second victory in Group D and finished in first position, with four points, the same as Iceland and Hungary, while South Korea did not score.
In the main round, Portugal will be part of Group II, in Gothenburg, along with Iceland, Hungary, Sweden, Cape Verde and Brazil. In the second phase, Sweden enters with four points, two more than Portugal, Iceland, Hungary and Brazil, while Cape Verde starts from zero.
