The Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka, fifth in the world ranking, won her first Grand Slam tournament this Saturday by beating the Kazakh Elena Rybakina, 25th, in three sets in the final of the Australian Open.
Seeded fifth in Melbourne, Sabalenka was still a set behind, having lost her first set of the tournament, but came back to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in two hours and 28 minutes. .
This was the first Grand Slam final for Sabalenka, 24, while Rybakina, 23, a Wimbledon winner last year, played in her third decision.
