Portugal’s Evelise Veiga qualified for the final of the long jump competition at the European Athletics Indoor Championships, in Istanbul, Turkey, with 6.53 meters.
One day after her 27th birthday, Evelise Veiga finished the classification in seventh place, with 6.53 for her third jump, after having achieved 6.32 and 6.40 in the first and second attempts.
The long jump final is scheduled for Sunday at 7:50 p.m. local time (4:50 p.m. in Lisbon).
