The captain of the Portuguese soccer team, Cristiano Ronaldo, assumed this Tuesday the objective of representing the national team in the next European Championship, which will take place in Germany, in 2024.
At the Quinas de Ouro gala, in Cidade do Futebol, in Oeiras, the 37-year-old player stressed that the national team is receiving “young players with an extraordinary future”, before launching the future.
“I still want to be part of this World Cup and the Europeans as well, I take charge now,” he revealed to the applause of those present.
Cristiano Ronaldo spoke after being honored at tonight’s event as the teams’ all-time leading goalscorer.
