The concern expressed by the footballers of the English women’s team to compete during menstruation led the federation of that country (FA) to choose to change the kit, changing the traditional white shorts for blue ones.
“We want our players to feel that they have our support in this matter and we ask international tournament organizers to take this into account and allow more flexibility in team combinations,” the body said in a statement.

The concern and discomfort expressed by the athletes in the last Euro Cup, in 2022, won for the first time by the English, in the middle of Wembley Stadium, in playing with time, led the federation to act, now leaving the team in the hands lining up entirely in white to switch to blue shorts.
The new kit will be used on Friday in the Final, which will pit England against Brazil, champions of Europe and South America respectively, at Wembley.
In England, Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea had already taken the option of changing their traditional kits to respond to requests from footballers.
