The Norwegian Casper Ruud, fifth world tennis player, succeeded this Sunday in the history of the Estoril Open champions to the Argentine Sebastián Báez, beating the sixth seed, the Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic, in straight sets.
Against the world number 40 player, the 24-year-old Norwegian triumphed with partials of 6-2 and 7-6 (7-3) in one hour and 49 minutes.
First pre-designated at the Clube de Ténis do Estoril, Ruud, who eliminated Báez in the quarterfinals, won the 10th title of his career, which also includes his presence in the final of Roland Garros and the Open dos Estados last year, and the first of this season
