The Portuguese Artur Soares Dias was appointed to referee the Real Madrid-Manchester City match, from the first leg of the Champions League semifinals, this Tuesday, UEFA announced this Sunday.
At the Santiago Bernabéu, Soares Dias, 43, will be assisted by Paulo Soares and Pedro Ribeiro, while the Italian Daniele Orsato will be the fourth official.
Also Italian Massimiliano Irrati will play the role of video referee (VAR).
Soares Dias will lead a Champions League match for the fourth time this season, after having been at Liverpool-Ajax (2-1), at Copenhagen-Manchester City (0-0), both in the group stage, and at Eintracht Frankfurt-Naples (0-2), first leg of the round of 16.
Real Madrid and Manchester City will play on Tuesday, starting at 8:00 p.m. (Lisbon time), at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid.
