The president of the Portuguese Football Federation, Fernando Gomes, assured this Wednesday that the contract between the tutelage of Portuguese football and the former national selector Fernando Santos is legal.

Former national coach Fernando Santos, who now manages the Polish team, lost a lawsuit against tax authorities and was ordered to pay 4.5 million euros to the IRS late last year.
During 2016 and 2017, Fernando Santos will have received, through a company called Femacosa, ten million euros from the FPF, declaring IRS on an annual salary of 70 thousand euros.
