Juventus was fined more than 700,000 euros, but escapes further loss of points

Juventus escaped this Tuesday’s new points deduction, but were fined more than €700,000 for salary maneuvers involving player contracts, after reaching an agreement with the Italian Football Federation court.

‘Juve’ accepted the terms of the deal offered and kept the 10 points lost in the season that is now coming to an end, which have taken them out of the Champions League, within the scope of the Prisma investigation, which focuses on the so-called ‘ case of the most profits’ and these salary maneuvers.

Without the possibility of appeal, the decision implies 718,240 euros for the club and between 10,000 and 47,000 euros in financial fines for seven former leaders of the Turin emblem, missing the penalty for former president Andrea Agnelli.

These maneuvers aimed at artificially reducing losses in financial statements during the covid-19 pandemic, after the players who had privately agreed to receive this income in the next financial year would not pay during the next financial year. 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, when Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo represented the emblem.

In Prisma, Juventus is also accused of increasing the market value of its players in order to gain more benefit from their later sales.
