The trial of the Prova Limpa trial, referring to the alleged trade in banned substances and methods, better known as doping, of the extinct cycling team W52-FC Porto will start next week.
The instructive debate will begin on the 13th and continue through the 15th and 27th, and will, as DN has been informed, take place in a pavilion next to the prison in Paços de Ferreira.
Among the 26 defendants are João Rodrigues, Rui Vinhas, Ricardo Mestre, Samuel Caldeira, Daniel Mestre, José Neves, Joni Brandão, Ricardo Vilela, José Gonçalves and Jorge Magalhães – all charged with trafficking in banned substances and methods.
And also Adriano Quintanilha, Hugo Veloso and Nuno Ribeiro, directors of the extinct cycling team W52-FC Porto, accused by the Public Prosecution Service of “developing a plan”, in which “doping practices would be used”.
