The outer façade of this sphere was thus illuminated for the first time on July 5 for an impressive light show, going from the illusion of an open eye to fireworks across the Moon. So hidden behind these images are 1.2 million LEDs, each containing 48 individual diodes, each capable of displaying 256 million different colors. It is the largest LED screen in the world.

The technical feat should also continue inside the sphere, as it was designed as an 18,000-seat performance hall. The first shows should take place there from next autumn. And the first to set foot on this unusual stage will be none other than the members of U2.
The rock group has planned twenty dates in the field, with a premiere on September 29. However, tickets are far from the usual concert prices: each venue sells for between $400 and $1,495. Those responsible for the room also promise that the public will be able to feel the atmosphere that will be broadcast on the screens, with the spread of gusts of wind, perfumes and a temperature adapted to the show.
Construction at 2 billion dollars
To carry out this extraordinary construction, the company Sphere Entertainment Co, specialized in shows and shows, has spent more than 2,000 million dollars and plans to hire 3,000 people in the coming months. The company also expects to benefit from increased visibility with the arrival of new shows.
Sphere Entertainment will also be able to generate revenue on this 360-degree screen, as advertising can be broadcast there. It will also be at the heart of the new route planned for the Formula 1 Grand Prix scheduled for the city on November 19.
