The Swiss manufacturer of computer accessories Logitech reinforces its equipment for content creators and video game fans with the acquisition of the Finnish company Loupedeck, it announced on Tuesday without disclosing the amount of the transaction.
Based in Helsinki, Loupedeck makes consoles and software that, among other things, make video and photo editing easy. Swiss group Logitech, which makes keyboards and mice as well as tablet accessories and headsets for online gaming, will publish its quarterly results on July 24.
in full growth
The group is looking for a new CEO after the departure of its emblematic boss, Bracken Darrell, whose departure was announced in mid-June. After a decade at the helm, he left the group to take over the management of the American company VF Corp, owner, in particular, of the footwear and sportswear brands Vans, Timberland, The North Face and Supreme.
It had dramatically rebounded Logitech, hit hard in the early 2010s by PC sales eroding to the point of fueling fears of corporate bankruptcy.
Thanks to a major overhaul of its product range, Bracken Darrell had turned it into a growth company in a few years whose share was included in the SMI, the index of the most important shares of the Swiss Stock Exchange, in 2021 .
To reposition the group’s product range, Bracken Darrell had made some small, targeted acquisitions, particularly in audio and video game accessories.
