China denies banning iPhones in its ministries

At the beginning of September, the Wall Street Journal had revealed that Chinese officials were no longer allowed to use American-brand phones. Information now denied.

This is information that caused Apple to fall on the stock market. On September 7, the Wall Street Journal revealed that the Chinese government had banned the use of iPhones by its officials.

But this Wednesday, September 13, China assured that it had not implemented such a ban. In Chinese ministries, employees can not only use Apple iPhones, but also “phones from other foreign brands.”

Observed security incidents

Chinese and foreign companies are treated “on an equal footing,” he added. Despite geopolitical tensions with the United States, Apple and its products continue to enjoy undeniable popularity in China.

However, the government admitted to having collected several security incidents related to the use of the American phone.

In March, Apple CEO Tim Cook visited Beijing. In particular, he stated that his company maintained a “symbiotic” relationship with China.

Apple was established in China in 1993 and the Asian giant is its largest foreign market for the brand but also its main production center for its smartphones, computers, tablets and electronic accessories.
