The professional messaging service Slack was down late this Friday, October 6. Starting at 10:45 a.m., numerous fault reports were made on the DownDetector site.
Among the disturbances observed by Tech&Co, the main one refers to the connection to work spaces. Loading the different chat channels was difficult. Above all, sending messages or interactions did not reach other members of a server correctly.
On Twitter (renamed X), the company indicated that it was investigating the problems found, without providing further details. But almost an hour later, Slack assured that the application was once again usable normally.
The blackout appears to have affected all of Europe. The DownDetector site registered a peak of complaints in France, but also in Spain, Germany and Italy. The United Kingdom and the United States are also among the affected countries.
