A radical change for influencer agent Magali Berdah. One of her stars, Maeva Ghennam (3.2 million subscribers on Instagram), has confirmed that she breaks collaboration with the agency Shauna Events after the disagreement between the conflict between Israël and Hamas has exploded. jour sur social networks.
However, the former Marseille candidate had begun supporting his (former) agent, during a disagreement with another influencer: Dylan Thiry. On October 8, the Luxembourger, former Koh Lanta candidate prosecuted for “aggravated breach of trust”, published a video on Instagram in which a map of Israel appears, whose name he erases and replaces with “Palestine”.
A video that outraged Magali Berdah, who has repeatedly expressed her sadness for Israel after the terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas on October 7. “We cannot use this conflict to create rumors and followers (…) There are topics about which we should not laugh,” reports Le Parisien.
In a YouTube video, Maeva Ghennam took the side of her agent for the first time, who she says “needs support.” But she does not fully take up her positions on the fighting in the Middle East.
“Mine comes before a contract”
On October 14, Maeva Ghennam more clearly supports the Palestinians, reports Le Parisien. “I am against wars, against everything that is happening, what happened to Israel, there were deaths, I am not in favor at all (…) But please, come, we speak French… Are we talking about all the deaths in Palestine? We talk about the fact that, every day, people are evicted from their own homes, where they grew up, we talk about all these deaths, there?”
He later made more radical comments, claiming that Israel had planned the Hamas attacks. “I think they (the Israelis, Editor’s note) were aware that there was going to be this attack and they let it happen so that later there would be reprisals, and so that there would be even more ground, and they would kill even more Palestinians.” Theories without arguments, without any element of proof.
Following these statements, Maeva Ghennam claims to have been threatened with death several times on social media, and wants to file a complaint. A complaint that is currently “being drafted” because it is “complex,” her lawyer tells Le Parisien.
The breakup finally took place a few days later. In an Instagram story from Sunday, October 22, Maeva Ghennam explains that “(her) principles, (her) commitments take priority over a contract,” and that “she (Magali Berdah) defends (sic) hers and it’s all for he”. credit, and mine comes (sic) before a contract.”
“Not easy” decision
Then, in a series of stories on Instagram and Snapchat on October 25, the influencer confirmed that she had broken off her collaboration with Magali Berdah. “A decision that was not easy for me,” she explains, adding that “for me it was like she was betraying her.”
Magali Berdah, contacted by Tech&Co, confirms that the contract between Maeva Ghennam and Shauna Events is now broken.
Maeva Ghennam is not the only influencer leaving Shauna Events. Since the beginning of October, the departures of other prominent figures have followed one another: Laura Lempika (2.1 million subscribers on Instagram), then Julien Tanti (8.2 million) and his wife Manon Tanti (3 million). “Tired of being nice and always being deceived! Now the truth will come to light no matter what! I will keep you informed quickly,” concluded the former Marseille star.
