Microsoft announced this Monday that it will hire Sam Altman, who had been fired from the management of OpenAI, owner of ChatGPT.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, cited by Reuters, indicates that the company will hire Sam Altman and also Greg Brockman, former president of OpenAI, to lead a new artificial intelligence development team.
In May, Sam Altman testified in the North American Congress, where he spoke about the risks of artificial intelligence, having defended regulation at the time. Two years ago, Altman warned the world that technological progress in the next century “will be far greater than anything achieved since humanity mastered fire and invented the wheel.”
