“What Hell”: When Apple Pay’s Forzed Advertising for the movie “F1” annoys Internet users

In social networks, Internet users believe that Apple Pay’s notification to promote the movie “F1”, signed Apple, is an abusive advertising. The system also violates commercial policies.

And it is precisely this last device that bothers Internet users, according to TechCrunch. In fact, the Cupertino firm sent an Apple Pay notification to all iPhone owners in the United States to offer them a reduction of 10 dollars for anyone who bought two or more tickets for the film through the Fandango box office.

In social networks, consumers creak their teeth. “Is there a way to disable this spam? I have not paid more than $ 1,000 on an iPhone and benefit from an ad,” said a surfer in Reddit. “Who approved this? An Apple Wallet’s announcement? Oh, what the hell,” says another.

Some even compare this notification with the forced incorporation of an U2 album throughout iPhone in 2014. “All these notifications for the F1 movie remind me of the moment they had added the U2 album in iTunes of all without anyone asking anyone,” writes a user.

In fact, this promotion is considered abusive by many Internet users. Ironically, with this notification, Apple seems to violate its own directives. The latter specifies that notifications should not be used for promotional purposes unless users have explicitly given their consent through the application interface, with a clear option to unsubscribe.

And if the beta iOS 26 version offers such adjustment in Apple’s wallet, this is not the case with iOS 18. Therefore, it is a safe bet that Apple plans to transmit more messages and marketing promotions through the application of the wallet in the future, to the great disorder of the users.
