To prevent minors from having access to pornographic sites, French law imposes an age verification. Blocked in justice, the measure was finally restored by the State Council for French and European sites.
The pornographic sites installed in the EU and outside of France will have to verify the age of the users again: the State Council indicated on Tuesday that the decision to suspend an interminiysterial decree on the subject has invalidated on Tuesday.
“The State Council rejects, due to lack of emergency, the request to suspend the obligation to verify the age of users imposed on certain services to disseminate the pornographic content,” said the jurisdiction in a press release.
