Elon Musk asked Mark Zuckerberg to help him buy Openai (but he didn’t track)

A file presented by OpenAI reveals that Elon Musk requested the help of the Boss goal when he tried to buy the Chatgpt creator in February.

In February, Elon Musk tried to buy Openai, with an offer of almost $ 100 billion. And the billionaire came into contact with the Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, for this operation. This is revealed by a file sent as part of Elon Musk and the creator of Chatgpt and transmitted by the TechCrunch Specialized Site.

Having sent at that time a letter of intention to acquire OpenAi from the Board of Directors of the New Company, “Musk identified Mark Zuckerberg, President and Executive Director of Meta, as a person with whom he had discussed the issue of the letter of intention, in particular” on the financing or the possible investment agreements “in relation to Operai,” the document indicates.

In the latter, the new company criticizes Meta for opposing its application, not providing evidence related to a coordinated project with Elon Musk and its new company IA, XAI. That is why you want to obtain a court order to force Mark Zuckerberg’s group to provide this evidence.

Central point of the trial

The Chatgpt creator also wants to access all the target documents and communications related to “any restructuring or recapitalization, real or potential of OpenAi”, which constitutes the central point of the trial presented by Musk against him.

In 2024, the chief of Tesla, who co -founded Openai, filed a complaint against the new company, accusing her of betraying her main intentions by wanting to change the state. Operai sought to become a business of profit to generate earnings without roofs. If she gave up this project, Elon Musk did not do the same with her complaint.

Contacted by Techcrunch, a goal, meanwhile, returned to a section of the file in which Openai indicates that neither Mark Zuckerberg nor his business signed the letter of intent to Elon Musk to acquire the creator of Chatgpt.

Meta also asked the Court to reject the request for evidence of OpenAI, arguing in particular that its internal discussions on restructuring and the recapitalization of the startup are not relevant to this case.

These revelations intervene, while the Mark Zuckerberg group has invested in the development of its own abilities, in particular by offering bonds of more than $ 100 million to OpenAi employees for unpleasant.
