The Arcom condemned on Friday the lifting of the blockade of the Jean Pormanove chain by the Australian platform Kick, where the death of the French streamer was broadcast live on Monday after days of live video that showed it violent and humiliated.
The French Digital Police said in a statement that he learned Kick’s decision on Thursday to eliminate the blockade of this chain, which has been inaccessible since Monday, the platform initially indicated having prohibited all the serpentines involved during the investigation opened by justice.
But, in a change, Kick now believes that the lifting of this blockade is “the only way to respond to the applications of the regulator and all interested parties (Ministries and ofac Anti-Cyber Office), which expressed the desire to access the audiovisual content of the ‘JeanPormanove’ chain to contribute the deficiencies committed by the platform to day”, according to the Archía.
Arch calls to restore the blockade
“The provision of the authorities of these recordings cannot justify the lifting of the blockade of the entire public,” he criticized the regulator to “condemn” this decision. Therefore, Arch called Kick to restore the blockade of the chain as soon as possible and announced that “he will examine all the possibilities of action” otherwise.
According to the first results of the autopsy made public on Thursday, the death of Jean Pormanove “does not have a traumatic origin and is not in relation to the intervention of a third,” said the prosecutor of the Republic of Nice.
“Therefore, the probable causes of death appear of medical and/or toxicological origin,” he added, added that “complementary, toxicological and anatomopathological analysis have been ordered to specify these causes.”
