44 General prosecutors sent a letter to Google, Meta, OpenAi and other companies behind these chatbots, to remember their responsibilities and obligations to prevent their creations from having sexual conversations with minors or any other illegal behavior.

“We, the attorney general of 44 jurisdictions, we send him a letter to inform him about our determination to use all the means we have to protect children from exploitation by artificial intelligence products,” they begin.

Recognizing that they need the success of these companies, they believe that this cannot be done at the expense of the “well -being of children.”

“We are all rebels”

General prosecutors refer to recent revelations on goal, according to which the Californian group has authorized their chatbots to have “sensual or romantic” conversations with children.

However, when Wall Street Jounal revealed that the company’s conversational robots could have sexual conversations with users, whose minors had defended themselves by saying that the evidence led by the American newspaper were not representatives of the way in which most users get involved with chatbots.

They conclude their letter warning companies that will be responsible for their decisions. “We wish you all succeed in the race for the domination of AI. But we are still attentive. If you voluntarily harm children, you will answer,” they say.
