Are the United States, as in the Uchronic series For all humanitybe overcome by another foreign power for the conquest of the moon? The Earth’s satellite is in fact the issue of all lust since the great return of US investments in space, especially because it could serve as a rear base for future trips to Mars.
But NASA hoped to have Spacex, as it does for its satellites, since the company founded by Elon Musk currently designs a lunar pitcher who plans to offer current 2027 and will be inhabited. But it would be a violin desire.
A launch rejected by “several years” for Artemis 3?
In a public meeting organized by the Aerospace Security Advisory Committee, one of the panelists, Paul Hill, explained that this pitcher could know “several years” late.
His conclusion is based on his recent visit, in August 2025, from Starbase, where Spacex devices are designed, but also after meetings with the management team. He does not believe in a landing on the moon thanks to Artemis 3 in 2027.
According to this space travel specialist, the problem would come in the way in which the transfer of the cryogenic propeller would be, to supply the pitcher in low terrestrial orbit, so that he can then go to the moon. In question, the delay taken by the Starship 3 Rocket and its Raptor 3 engines, which must still be improved. The lunar rocket will be an evolution of the spaceship model currently under development.
However, these comments do not question the contract between Spacex and NASA. The American space agency owes a lot to the company of Elon Musk, when he had to resign himself to stop his conquest of space in front of private companies, especially due to costs. In addition, Spacex engineers have so far managed to design particularly technically impressive vehicles, especially with pitchers who can return to the Earth to be reused.
However, if there is delay, it could allow China to reach its American competitor. The Asian giant wishes to conquer the moon quickly, and seeks to better control the technologies acquired by Spacex over the years.
By then, the US calendar must gain clarity. The Artemis program must know the launch of Artemis 2 in early 2026, without incident at this stage, while Arthis 3 is in an “uncertain and somewhat worried” situation, which can endanger the security and future of the program.
In any case, the ball is in Donald Trump’s camp, which for a long time has highlighted the need to return to the moon. Once, when US President and Elon Musk lived a perfect moon … honey.
