Four astronauts arrived on Friday at the International Space Station (ISS) for a six-month mission after overcoming a docking problem.
The capsule of the private company SpaceX, which carried the astronauts, had to wait 20 meters from the orbital laboratory, while flight controllers in California solved the problem.
The Falcon rocket was launched on Thursday from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida (southeast).
Two American astronauts, one Russian and one from the United Arab Emirates were traveling on the Dragon spacecraft.
Some 80 spectators from the United Arab Emirates watched the launch of the spacecraft, which carried astronaut Sultan al-Neyadi, the second Emirati person to travel into space, on a six-month mission.
These astronauts will replace a crew of American, Russian and Japanese elements that has been on the ISS since October.
Saudi Prince Sultan bin Salman was the first Arab to go into space aboard the shuttle Discovery in 1985.
