Child pornography, revenge pornography… Videos that should have been removed remained, sometimes for months, online on the site of Pornhub, the world’s largest pornography site.
in the documentary Money Shot: The Pornhub StoryComing to Netflix in March, a former moderator, responsible for removing illegal videos, says “many videos that should have been removed have lingered for months” on the platform.
“We went through the videos as fast as we could. Even though we thought we were diligent in our work, we still miss a few videos from time to time,” he said on condition of anonymity.
“The rules changed all the time”
Pornhub, widely targeted in recent years for content involving minors, rape images or videos broadcast without the consent of the people filmed, seeks to better regulate abuse.
“MindGeek’s policy is to immediately remove any content that violates our Terms of Service and to review any user-reported content, no questions asked,” the group told Business Insider.
