“The time has come.” Poland wants to launch the first unmanned mission to the Moon by 2030

Poland wants to launch its first mission to the Moon at the end of this decade, the president of the Polish Space Agency announced this Friday, ensuring that the prototypes have already been tested.

In an interview with the Polish media, Grzegorz Wrochna indicated that “the work is already advanced, the prototypes of the devices are already being tested” and that “the time has come to create a Polish space mission to the Moon.”

According to Wrochna, “the Polish space sector has extensive previous experience in the construction of space research instruments” and has been involved in “more than 80 projects” to explore the solar system.

“There were many proposals from the engineers and scientists consulted,” said the president of the organization.

In addition to the scientific results, the possible economic benefit that the mission can bring is one of the great advantages pointed out by the scientist, who points out that “the Polish probe would sweep the surface of the Moon with infrared radiation and search for deposits of raw materials that they would use there in the future construction bases”.

“If we go to the moon, it is not only to make our dreams come true, but also to prepare the ground and do business,” Wrochna emphasized.
