The Ukrainian army said on Monday it had recaptured the town of Pyatykhatky, located on the “southern front” of the conflict with Russian forces that invaded the country in 2022, Kiev’s Defense Ministry said on Monday.
A total of “eight towns were liberated” in June after the counter-offensive, “with 113 square kilometers reconquered,” Deputy Defense Minister Ganna Maliar said in a message on social media.
