Five people were shot to death Thursday in a residential neighborhood in the central Texas region of the US state of Texas, local officials said.
The incident took place at 7:30 a.m. (1:30 p.m. in Lisbon) this Thursday in the city of McGregor.
According to the mayor of McGregor, Jimmy Hering, the man shot at the police officers who came to the scene.
Police returned fire, but the suspect was not injured.
However, the Texas Department of Public Safety said one suspect in the shooting was captured alive.
So far, no motive, relationship or other details have been determined.
