A man died in a Kiev courthouse after allegedly blowing himself up and two police officers were injured, Ukraine’s interior minister said.
“A criminal died on the spot. According to preliminary information, he blew himself up,” Interior Minister Igor Klymenko said on social media. Two police officers were injured when they stormed the premises, Klymenko added.
Earlier, Ukrainian authorities said law enforcement in the capital Kyiv was responding to reports of an explosion at a district court and emergency services were responding on the scene.

The military administration of the city of Kiev stated that the explosion occurred at 17:20 local time (15:20 GMT) when a suspect was being escorted to the courtroom by security forces.
The person detonated an unknown explosive device in court under “unclear circumstances,” the statement said.
