At least seven children and two adults were injured on Thursday after a car crashed into a primary school in Wimbledon, south-west London.
According to the BBCthe Metropolitan Police say the driver stopped at the scene and “there were no arrests”.
Camp Road Studies Preparatory School is an all-girls establishment, ages 4-11.
The British authorities are still on the scene, but the Metropolitan Police rule out terrorism. “An investigation is underway to determine all the circumstances of what happened,” police said.
For the BBC, Stephen Hammond MP admits to being “very concerned” about the incident and describes the area as “quite remote”, in the vicinity of several golf clubs.
