NASA and SpaceX’s Crew-7 mission successfully lifted off this morning from Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA, towards the International Space Station (ISS), where the crew will conduct various experiments and replace Crew-6.
The launch of the Endurance spacecraft from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center took place, as planned, this Saturday at 03:27 (08:27 in Lisbon), and according to NASA specialists, the docking at the ISS and the departure of the astronauts It takes place only on Sundays.
The launch of the Crew-7 mission – the US Space Administration’s seventh crewed mission to the ISS – was initially scheduled for Friday at 03:50 (08:50 GMT), but was delayed to the early hours of today, NASA has explained the reasons for the postponement was not mentioned.
The Crew-7 mission is commanded by astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli, selected by NASA in 2017, and Andreas Mogensen, from the European Space Agency (ESA), while astronauts Satoshi Furukawa, from the Japanese agency JAXA, and Konstantin Borisov, from the Russian Roscosmos.
