The 47-year-old comedian, also known as a member of the Church of Scientology, was sentenced to the maximum sentence awaiting him, the agency France-Presse (AFP) reported.
During the trial, three women, also Scientologists, accused the actor of raping them at his home in Hollywood Hills between 2001 and 2003.
The jury agreed on two of the charges, but failed to reach the unanimity needed to rule on the third.
During the hearing, the prosecution estimated that the actor used drugs and raped his victims.
This case, brought up in 2017 after allegations against former producer Harvey Weinstein sparked the birth of the #MeToo movement, also raised questions about the role of the Church of Scientology.
Two of the victims assured that the organization, which was well established in Los Angeles, prevented them from contacting the police.
Masterson’s defense insisted the prosecutors’ version had evolved over the years and suggested prejudice against the Church of Scientology may have motivated the lawsuit.
At an earlier trial in November, another jury declined to reach a verdict, failing to reach unanimity.
Danny Masterson became known in the late 1990s for his role in the series That 1970s showalongside Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher.
Most recently, he also appeared alongside the latter in the series The farm from Netflix, but was removed in 2017 after the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed they were investigating allegations of sexual assault against him.
Following the actor’s arrest in June 2020, the Los Angeles County Attorney’s Office announced that it had dropped two other assault charges against him, citing lack of evidence and statute of limitations.
