Poland will send military planes to transport its citizens trapped in Israel, after the war with the Islamic group Hamas, it was announced this Sunday.
“The Polish army is preparing to remove the Poles from Israel. C-130 Hercules transport planes will be sent to rescue our compatriots,” declared Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak on X (former Twitter).

Also on X, Polish President Andrzej Duda confirmed that “Air Force transport planes are being prepared to carry out the withdrawal of Poles currently in Israel.”
“Our special forces soldiers will guarantee the protection of cargo and security on board,” he added, estimating that there will be “a few hundred” citizens who will be rescued.
“Unfortunately, there are several groups of Poles, and they are not few, in Israel. In the West Bank too. There are several hundred,” Andrzej Duda said in statements to the private Polsat News television.
On Saturday, airlines operating between Poland and Israel suspended their flights.
The Islamic group Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israeli territory this Saturday, in an operation called “Al-Aqsa Storm”, with the launch of thousands of rockets and the incursion of armed militiamen by land, sea and air.
At least 300 people died in Israel after the attack by the Islamic movement Hamas, while at least 313 Palestinians died as part of the Jewish State’s strong air counteroffensive on Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel is “at war” with Hamas.
