Her name was Tair Bira, she was a 21-year-old Portuguese-Israeli girl who had been missing since the Hamas attack on Israel.
The news now comes through a statement from the Jewish Community of Porto, cited by Diário de Notícias.
Tair Bira was the daughter of another missing Portuguese-Israeli, Orin Bira, 53, who was also kidnapped by the Palestinian terrorist group in the October 7 attack. Tair Bira had obtained Portuguese nationality due to her Sephardic origin.
The Jewish community of Porto, in a statement signed by President Gabriel Senderowicz, explains the Portuguese origin of the six “so that they are never seen as second-class Portuguese citizens.”
