The Israeli Army announced this Sunday that it had attacked more than 450 military targets belonging to the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas throughout the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours.
In a statement released on social media, the Israeli armed forces indicated that among the targets attacked were Hamas barracks, observation posts and anti-tank firing positions of the Hamas movement.
On October 7, Hamas launched a surprise attack on southern Israel with the launch of thousands of rockets and the raid of armed militiamen, taking two hundred hostages.
In response, Israel declared war on Hamas, a movement that has controlled the Gaza Strip since 2007 and is classified as terrorist by the European Union and the United States.
Israel began bombing several of the group’s infrastructures in the Gaza Strip and imposed a total siege on the territory, cutting off water, fuel and electricity supplies.
The conflict has already caused thousands of deaths and injuries, between soldiers and civilians, in both territories.
